As far as features are concerned, I look for ease of connectivity and compatibility with a Windows or MAC personal computer so I can backup my contacts and other data. That, and a phones compatibility with any of the major cellular service providers. I don’t like to be relegated to using a phone with only one service provider, which is exactly what many of them try to do when they sell you a phone. That is why I prefer not to buy a mobile device directly from the service provider.

Hi Gayle, I totally understand your concerns. You are often able to buy “unlocked” devices from places other than service providers. Unfortunately we don’t offer these types of offers at this time, but we hope you find the device that best suits your needs, even it isn’t found on out site. THanks

This is a great looking phone, I love the sleek look and the fact that it is rather flat. Right now I have a Samsung phone that slides open for easy texting and the key lock when not in use so you don’t accidently butt dial anyone. My sister-in-law is shopping around for a new phone that she can do texting on because this is a feature she has never had. I am going to show her this phone and see what she thinks, I personally think that it would be perfect for her as a beginner in the world of texting. Your article was put together very well and it has just enough information to intrigue the serious shopper to dig a little further.

Hi Vincent, thanks for your support, I hope your sister gets a device she loves and learns to text in time for the holidays. :) Thanks for your support.

I am in the market for a cellular phone upgrade or a smart phone. Is the Motorola Theory considered a smart phone? My other concern would be whether I can buy one and configure it to Virgin wireless phone service – the kind without a contract where you pay as your usage requires. That is the service I want to stay with. So this is a deal breaker for me. I don’t think the article touched on this. So if anyone can answer any of my questions, I would be grateful for your feedback.

Hi John, unfortunately I don’t know enough about the device and Virgin’s terms of service to know if that is authorized within them. If you are able to find solid information on the topic I would love to hear about it. Thank you for your support and I apologize we couldn’t be of more help to you. Thanks.

This is a beautiful phone and I really would like to get one. It looks like a smart phone so everybody would judge you for being so old school but yet it isn’t as pricey as a smart phone which is good for my budget. I was wondering though do the keys lock after a certain amount of time to prevent you from butt dialing people? And are the buttons easy to use because they look awfully small. What kinds of accessories does it come with by the way, are there sleeves for it or anything like that? Thank you for posting this and letting us know ahead of time what is coming.

I’m really not as interested in the contacts features of the phone unless it comes with an interface cable that lets you backup your address book and tasks or schedule data onto a personal computer. The reason I am so adamant about having this feature is because I have lost my contacts too many times in the past with phones that were not compatible with Microsoft outlook. At the very least, I need a phone that comes with software that lets me backup my data for a change. Besides this, I’m also wondering about the web browsing features.

Hey Charles, I apologize for the late response, we have been busy improving the site to better serve users. There are often apps that can now handle scheduled backups to a remote server so your phone information will always be safe and secure in case of loss. I hope you find the device that best suits your personal needs, good luck. Thanks.

  6. Charles said his experience on motorola. I also has this problem. Presently I used other phone. Wirlesscouponcode gives nice information. I want to try that. Thanks for that.
